Cornell Hard Cider PWT Virtual Office Hours: The Marketing Edition, May 21 from 4-5 PM EDT

Dear Commercial Cider Apple Growers and Cider Producers,

Please join Cornell’s Hard Cider Program Work Team on Thursday, May 21 from 4-5 PM EDT for a question and answer session on any topic related to hard cider production that you want to discuss. There will be no formal presentations, but we will focus our attention on issues related to marketing cider during the pandemic. Participants can also ask questions related to any of our areas of expertise (horticulture, fermentation, and marketing and small business management) through a moderated chat session. We will also share updates and upcoming events related to Cornell’s hard cider programs and activities.

Joining us this week will be Professors Doug Miller and Miguel Gomez, who together bring an incredible wealth of knowledge about the craft beverage industry, tasting rooms, and business management. We’ll also hear from Cortni Stahl and Ian Merwin on strategies they’ve developed over the past few months for their commercial cideries.

Participating in the Office Hours:

  • Greg Peck, Assistant Professor of Horticulture, Cornell University
  • Miguel Gomez, Associate Professor, Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, Cornell University
  • Doug Miller, Lecturer, The SC Johnson College of Business, Cornell University
