NYCA Freeze Loss 2023_Virtual Check-in / Tuesday, June 27th

NY apple and cider producersโ€”

The NY Cider Association is hosting a virtual check-in about the May 18 frost/freeze event. Dan Olmstead (NEWA Coordinator) will provide an overview of the extent of the damage in the region and Jason Londo (Cornell fruit physiologist) will provide some insights into the tree and fruit responses that occurred.

There will be plenty of time for discussion. The NYCA is particularly interested in hearing from you about ways they can help support the industry.

To participate, you must RSVP through the below link.

Hello NYCA Members,

As I’ve heard from many of you, there has been quite a bit of loss due to the recent spring freeze.
In order to fully understand the scope of damage and ways that NYCA can help support the industry, I’ve scheduled a virtual check-in for next Tuesday at 12:00noon EST.
This will be an opportunity for all of us to come together, share where we’re at, and consider options for how we manage through this season.
A zoom link will be sent 24 hours prior to the call to the email provided in your RSVP .
If you have any questions or needs in the meantime, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Many thanks!
