This tour is designed for commercial apple and cider producers, all are welcome.

We’ll be visiting with cider makers and growers to learn more about their production and growing practices in the region. There is a $5.00pp charge to cover administrative costs and lunch will be provided during the stop at Docs Cider. Educational tastings will also be provided at each location.

Register by next Tuesday, August 1stΒ to be guaranteed lunch and
educational cider tasting.

  • Lunch will be included duringΒ the stop at Doc’s Cider.
  • Participants will use their personal vehicles to get from location to location and can join us for whichever stops they are interested in seeing.

It’s going to be a great day with a lot of interesting and engaging cider ground to cover.
Below are all the details, times, and directions.
NOTE: Please pay special attention to parkingΒ instructions for each of our very generous hosts.
2023 CORNELL/NYCA HARD CIDER SUMMER TOUR
LOWER HUDSON VALLEY, NY
WEATHER & SHOES & OTHER PREP
  • 75Β° high, 34% chain of rain, showers in the morning with some clearing in the afternoon.
  • Bring sunscreen, hats, umbrellas, and hydration as needed and desired.
  • We will be walking through a variety of manufacturing spaces, orchards and terrain so please wear appropriate shoes.
  • At lunch, we will have a cider share for those who are interested in bringing some of the cider for sharing.
  • Educational cider tastings will be provided at each of the stops.
  • Participants will use their personal vehicles to get from location to location and we encourage carpooling.
  • Pennings Farm has invited us to stop by their Farm Store before the 10:00am tour to grab some complimentary coffee and donuts!
